Question by Razor_124: What are the labor laws regarding people over 18 to work in California?
I am a full time manager/employee at a fast food restaraunt. Our General Manager makes our weekly work schedules. We have SEVERAL employees over the age of 18 who are often scheduled less than 6-12 hours per work week. It was my belief that persons over the age of 18 who are considered part-time employees must be given no less than 15 hours per work week. I cannot find the labor laws for California regarding this matter. Can anyone please help shed some light on this? Thank you very much!

part time workers can be given even zero hours...there are no guaranteed hours unless there is a union contract...
